Mission, Vision, & Goals
Mission
The mission of Disability Services (DS) is to promote equal access to all university programs and activities for students with disabilities. DS provides institution-wide advisement, consultation, and training on disability-related topics, and collaborates with partners to identify and remove barriers to foster an accessible campus. DS offers student learning, development, and success through a holistic approach, and provides individual services and facilitates accommodations to students with disabilities.
Vision
Disability Services will strive to become a model program serving students with disabilities in higher education.
Goals
- Promote wholistic student development which will shape student identities (including disability) and influence how they engage the world.
- Create a campus climate which fosters respect for and appreciation of the inherent worth of all individuals through consultation, collaboration, outreach, and university engagement.
- Facilitate accessibility through the provision of reasonable accommodations.
